Angela Pollard was selected as Mrs. Fort Worth International 2012 by the Executive Committee for the State of Texas International System.
Hello. My name is Angela Pollard and I am honored to be representing the Fort Worth area as Mrs. Fort Worth International 2012. The Mrs. International Pageant system celebrates a woman’s beauty, energy, commitment to marriage and family, and a desire to challenge herself. As Mrs.Fort Worth International I strive to embody all of these characteristics and to exemplify the essence of each attribute in my duties.
I am married to my high school sweetheart John Pollard, with whom I reunited ten years ago, and have one wonderful grown son named David. We live in the DFW metroplex. I am currently an Operations Manager with National Bankruptcy Services in Addison and an Advisory Board member for the Hurst city council, serving on the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Teen Court Advisory Board. My latest accomplishments include completing certification as a personal trainer through ISSA and becoming a regional speaker for the American Cancer Society. Prior to NBS I worked for Citigroup, finished my certification as a paralegal with emphasis in bankruptcy and became an authorized notary for the State of Texas. I enlisted-in and served a tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps after high school, then went on to earn a degree from the University of Kentucky where I studied Business Management.
I am a firm believer that physical wellness is critical to creating a positive self-image and lifestyle. My platform and mission statement is Don’t Put It Off – Protect and Prevent while partnering with the American Cancer Society as an advocate for awareness of the many tools that are available to individuals which will empower them to make sound choices and decisions lowering the risk of Cancer.
I am an active volunteer for the following organizations: American Heart Association (Go Red for Women, National Youth Forum with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation at Kids Fest, Childhood Obesity, and Tarrant County Heart Walk), American Cancer Society, USO (Dallas-Fort Worth), JRDC, Susan G Komen (Dallas), March of Dimes (Dallas), American Red Cross (Fort Worth), Battered Womans Foundation (North Richland Hills), Easter Seals of Dallas/FortWorth, Metroplex Food Bank (Fort Worth), American Heart Society (Fort Worth), American Obesity Association, and Team Captain for the United Way Citigroup (Coppell).
I strongly believe physical wellness is critical to creating a positive self-image and lifestyle. My platform- Don’t Put It Off – Protect and Prevent is the first stages of lowering the risk of contracting cancer and catching it early enough to treat.
